The Kerala Christian Professional College Management’s Federation invites applications for Admission to MBBS Course in the following four Christian Medical Colleges.
1. Amala Institute of Medical Sciences, Amala Nagar, Thrissur. (0487-2304000)
2. Jubilee Mission Medical College and Research Institute, Thrissur (0487-2421885)
3. Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church Medical College, Kolencherry, (0484-3055555)
4. Pushpagiri Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, Thiruvalla. (0469-2700755)
Note: Admission to the course in the institution / institutions awaiting approval / permission will be subject to approval / permission from the authority / Government concerned.
CRITERIA OF ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION
Nationality:
Candidates must be Citizens of India / children or dependents of Non Resident Indians.
Academic:
i) Pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education of Kerala or an examination recognized equivalent thereto with at least Fifty percent marks in Biology separately and Fifty percent marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology / equivalent subjects put together or equivalent grade. SC/ST candidates shall be eligible for statutory relaxation in minimum marks.
The norms of eligibility prescribed by the MCI and the respective Universities will also be applicable.
ii) Rounding off of the percentage of marks to the nearest whole number is not permitted.
iii) Candidates who have passed their qualifying examination from authorities other than the State of Kerala shall produce the certificate of recognition and equivalency of the qualifying examination from the University in Kerala with which the concerned college to which admission is sought for is affiliated.
iv) The candidate must be in the Medical rank list prepared by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations, Kerala, on the basis of the CET-2008.
Age:
i) Applicants should have completed 17 years of age on 31st December 2008. No relaxation of age will be allowed.
How To Apply
The Common Prospectus along with application form can be obtained from any of the four member medical colleges on payment of Rs. 500/- ( Rupees five hundred only) by Demand Draft drawn in favour of the ‘Kerala Christian Professional College Managements’ Federation’ (KCPCMF) payable at Ernakulam. The Application shall be submitted as detailed below:
a) Completed application should be submitted to any one of the Colleges and not to the Office of the Federation. This should be submitted on or before 11th July 2008, 5.00 p.m.
b) Applications can either be submitted on the forms available with the prospectus.
OR
Application forms can be downloaded from the website of the Federation: www.kcpcmf.org. Such applications have to be submitted along with a DD of Rs. 500/- in favour of the ‘Kerala Christian Professional College Managements’ Federation’ (KCPCMF) payable at Ernakulam.
Important Dates:
Issue of Application form begins -23rd June 2008
Last date for submission of applications - 11th July 2008
Publication of merit list - 17th July 2008
Commencement of selection & admission - 21st July 2008
