Left has threatened to withdraw their support for the UPA if the prime minister went ahead with the Indo-US deal.The last resort of the left however did not make much impact on the prime minister who said he will handle the situation when it occurs.The samajwathi party (SP) earlier announced in the media that they were ready to hold talks with the congress.They have decided to vote for the UPA government but are not backing the deal.Amar singh had spoken to Sonia Gandhi over the phone regarding the deal.Prime minister had met the president Prathibha Patel to discuss the political crises.
