The admissions for the academic session 2008-09 have since been announced in Trident School of Biotech Sciences (TSBS) for M.Sc (Biotechnology), M.Sc (Medical Biotechnology), M.Sc (Bioinformatics) and B.Sc (Hons) Biotechnology. The eligibility criteria fixed by Utkal University for the aforesaid courses are as under.

(4 semesters)
Bachelor’s degree under 10+2+3 pattern of education in Physical and Biological Sciences with at least 55% marks in aggregate as decided by Deptt. of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, New Delhi from time to time.
M.Sc (Bioinformatics)
2 Years
(4 semesters)
Bachelor’s degree with 50 % marks in aggregate from the streams of Science/Engg./Medicine/Agriculture/ Vetenery/Pharmacy with mathematics at Higher Secondary level.
Or
Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks in aggregate/ Master’s degree in computer Application having passed higher secondary in science stream with mathematics.
M.Sc (Medical Biotechnology)
2 Years
(4 semesters)
Bachelor’s degree under 10+2+3 pattern of education in Physical and Biological Sciences with at least 55% marks in aggregate as decided by Deptt. of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, New Delhi from time to time.
B.Sc (Hons) Biotechnology
3 Years
Higher secondary with Biology as a subject.
From the session 2008-09, the admissions will be strictly on first-cum-first-serve-basis subject to fulfillment of the aforesaid eligibility criteria. In case the results have not yet been published, but the candidate is confident of meeting the aforesaid eligibility criteria on publication of result, a seat can be reserved on payment of Rs.10,000/-(Non-refundable) and the admission can be confirmed on production of the required pass certificates/marksheets of the qualifying examination latest by 31/7/2008.
Application fee for admission has been kept at Rs.200/-(Rupees Two hundred only) which can either be paid at the admission cell of the college while collecting the form in person or the form can be downloaded from this website and the duly filled-in form can be sent by Courier/Regd.Post with a demand draft of Rs.200/- payable to “TACT” at Bhubaneswar.

Rs. 35,000/- Per Year for students availing of Hostels. This includes only Lunch & Dinner. No refund of any kind will be allowed for premature vacation of hostel or for not taking one or more meals. Food will not be served during Mess vacations. For students who will be accommodated in hostels beyond 1 KM from college campus, college bus service will be provided free of cost.
