National Commission for Scheduled Castes put pressure on the IIT-Delhi administration to revoke the suspension of three students, including two SC students.

IIT Delhi had suspended 20 undergraduate students including the 12 belonging to the SC/ST community due to their performance. The SC/ST took the matter to National Commission for Scheduled Castes. IIT Delhi agreed to review the expulsion of 12 SC/ST students for poor performance after its director was summoned by the National Commission for Scheduled Castes to explain the action.
