PROCEDURE FOR ADMISSION OF STUDENTS UNDER N.R.I CATEGORY

1. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
1.1 Application
The application form may be down loaded from the website www.annauniv.edu
1.2 Eligibility and Academic Qualifications
.
1.2.1 U.G. Programmes: Candidates must have passed (or must be
appearing for), the qualifying examination, i.e. (10 + 2) of Indian
System or its equivalent.
1.2.2 B.E./B.Tech. : Candidates must have studied and obtained a pass with Good Grades as per their system of education in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for all courses including Industrial Bio-Technology in the qualifying examination.
B.Arch.: Candidates must have studied mathematics as one of the subjects. The candidates must have passed the National Aptitude Test conducted by the Council of Architecture.
1.2.3. P.G. Programmes: Candidates refer to Anna University Chennai
Website: www.annauniv.edu.
1.2.4. Candidates who have studied the subjects in English medium alone will
be considered for admission to UG/PG programmes.
1.3. Registration Fee
A Bank Draft for US $ 200 drawn in favour of the Director, Centre for International Affairs, Anna University Chennai Payable at New York.
1.4. Last date for Receipt of Applications
Applications complete in all respects should reach the Director (Admissions)/Director, Centre for International Affairs, Anna University Chennai, Chennai-600 025 India on or before
6th June, 2008 for Under Graduate Programmes and
30th June, 2008 for Post Graduate Programmes
1.5 Selection of candidates
1.5.1 Selection of the candidates will be done by counselling as per the rank.

1.7. Fitness:
Candidates have to submit a medical fitness certificate at the time of counseling as per Annexure - III.
2. GENERAL INFORMATION
2.1. Reporting to the University:
Normally, the academic session begins by July – August every year. Candidates selected for admission are required to report to the Deans of campus concerned on the scheduled date mentioned in the allotment order. If the candidate fails to do so, the offer of admission will automatically stand cancelled.
2.2 Hostel Accommodations:
Hostel accommodation is available inside the campus. Interested candidates may apply to the Dean of the campus concerned for Hostel admission. They have to pay the prescribed fee as per Hostel Rules. There is no separate Hostel for N.R.I. students. The Hostel Mess is run on dividing system.
