NOTIFICATION
Applications are invited for admission to the following Part–Time
(6-Semester) Post Graduate courses in Engineering, leading to M.E / M.Tech
degree for the academic year 2008-2009.
Courses offered at University College of Engineering, OU, Hyd.
1. M.E (Civil) (a) Structural Engineering (15 seats)
(b)Hydromechanics and Water management (15 seats)
2. M.E. (Electrical) (a) Industrial Drives & Control (15 seats)
(b) Power Systems (15 seats)
3. M.E (ECE) (a) Digital Systems Engineering (15 seats)
(b) Systems & Signal Processing (15 seats)
4. M.E (Mech.) (a) Production Engineering (15 seats)
(b) Automation and Robotics (15 seats)
5. M.Tech. (CSE) (a) Computer Science & Engineering (30 seats)
Eligibility: B.E./B.Tech. or its equivalent in the relevant subject with minimum 2
years experience as on 30.06.2008. For M.Tech. (CSE), the candidates with
B.E./B.Tech. in any branch of Engg., Master’s Degree in Physics, Statistics,
Mathematics or Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics, Geo-Physics, M.Sc.
(Comp. Sc.), Computer Applications, Electronics are also eligible. For
specialization in Systems & Signal Processing of M.E. (ECE) course, candidates
with B.E. degree in EEE and BME are also eligible.
Application form, containing full particulars, can be downloaded from
the college website www.uceou.edu/pgadmn.html. or University website
www.osmania.ac.in. The printout must be taken on good quality inkjet printer /
Laser printer, using A4 size paper only. Registration fee and other particulars are
given in Annexure-I on website. Candidates seeking admission in more than one
Department are required to apply separately for each Department.
Admissions to all Part-Time courses will be made on the basis of performance at
the Entrance Test to be conducted by the University.
Last date for submission of filled in Application Forms along with the registration
fee of Rs. 500/- drawn in favour of “The Convener, M.E./M.Tech. Admissions,
2008-2009, OU” payable at Hyderabad:
? July 7th, 2008 (Monday) 5.00 P.M. by post or in person.
? July 11th, 2008, (Saturday) 5.00.P.M. in person only, with a late fee of
(Rs.200/- Cash) in the Principal’s Office, University College of
Engineering, Osmania University, Hyderabad-7.
? Dates of Entrance Tests: July 19 & 20, 2008.
