There is good news for students and peoples who want to earn higher interest rates. Their has an announcement for an increase in the interest rate on fixed deposits at HDFC bank which is effective from 18th July 2008.The interest rate will be 9.75% per annum for the period 1year 15 days and 10.25% perineum for senior citizen of India only.

Application form can be downloaded from the bank website www.hdfcbank.com
You can also apply through Net banking facilities also.
