|Always the question, tell me something about yourself, or tell me more about yourself is a very tricky question. Any first time interviewee gets confused as to what to say about him or her. Most of the time, this question, turns out to be a quite intriguing one.|
One have to tell the exact truth about the activities, both academic and extracurricular. Also it should be a true information. Some interviewers would ask this question on personal grounds too, where in the answer will be about you, your parents, siblings and if you are married about your spouse and kids.
But when answering this question, one should never panic.

Yes I don't forget this question, as its my first HR question when I was Interviewed, thanks to google that I came to know what are the questions will be put up by HR, belive me I prepared a small note to tell about myself, one suggestion from my side is just stick to one word and tell the same what ever the way HR asks you the question, sometimes they want to check your answer coming in same way as earlier with different types of questions.. All the Best and don't feel shy to prepare a notes about some points on you before you enter HR room ..

Yes this is a question which we can expect from all the interviews you attain. The interviewer will ask this question so that the candidate will give a brief introduction about himself. By the communication which the candidate gives the interviewer will understand his capacity and capability to work. This actually judges his capacity.
Thanks for giving hints on how we have to answer in the interview. This will certainly help everybody as job hopping is most common.
