What are hard X-rays and soft X -rays? 1. Hard x-rays:X-rays having low wavelength of the order of I A have high frequency and hence high energy. theirpenetrating power is high, therefore they are called hard x-rays They are produced at compratively highpotential difference. 2, Soft X-rays; X-rays having wave length of 4A or above, have lessser frequency and henc3 lesser energy. They are called soft x-rays due to their low penetrating power. Theyare produced at comparatively low pontential difference.
