Position Description:
This is a Software Quality Assurance Test Manager position. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Leading the quality control life cycle in the areas of system testing involving feature, regression and performance testing for multiple product lines.
• Play a key role in building an automation framework and spearhead automation efforts across Derivatives Processing
• Identify and document test requirements
• Create, review and approve test plans for responsible project
• Create, review and approve test execution schedule
• Allocate tasks and manage test execution using outsourced consultants
• Foster and facilitate automation of test cases
• Implement and monitor test metrics
• Manage test data and environments
• Report test progress and assume responsibilities for meeting quality targets of software projects
• Facilitate user acceptance testing
• Influence changes in test processes to improve productivity and efficiency
• Ensure tests are delivered to schedule, budget & quality
• Regularly review testing progress and recommend improvements
• Report status to leadership team for large projects
• Provide detailed defect analysis review at the end of UAT cycle and identify defect reduction techniques
• Hold quality improvement sessions after completion of the project and provide continuous improvement feedback to the IT team
• Participate in Quality Assurance practices and contribute to process improvements. An ideal candidate will demonstrate excitement and an eagerness to learn. The person will have to work as part of the global SQA team. Technology and the business are both changing quickly and the role will offer good opportunity for growth to those who can evolve to meet the needs of the job.
Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Computer
Science, from a top tier university
Skills Required:
• Minimum 3 years of managing SQA teams and projects
• Minimum 3 years of hands on QA experience writing test requirements, test cases, and test reports
• Strong skills in staffing and people management involving vendor management and matrix organizations
• Demonstrated knowledge of requirements management
• Excellent analytical skills on identifying root causes in a technology platform
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently in a fast pace environment
• Extensive experience in testing methodology
• Good knowledge in SDLC, QC & QA
• Experience in building automation frameworks and infrastructure
• Good knowledge of HP Quality Center, Quick Test Pro and Load Runner
• Good knowledge of SQL
• Working knowledge of XML, SOAP services, Linux OS and database environments
Skills Desired:
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Web based applications
• Experience of working in a financial services industry
• Microsoft Project
