Linux is an operating system, in which all the devices are stored in it as a file structure. Its a robust and more secure operating system. Its mosts used as a network management tool. Using a single linux os we can control the entire network with installed firewall, gateway etc. Whereas in windows you have to choose different os for controlling network.
