Median ,standard deviation and standard error
Distribution:binomial,poisson and norma
Unit 2:

2.0 Test of significances, paired and unpaired t-test,chi-square analysis
2.1. Analysis of bvariance
2.3. Correction and regression
Unit 3:
3.0 Biological Assays
3.1 Definition and criteria of reliability
3.2 Chemical assays
3.3 Biological assays- in vivo and in vitro assys
3.1 Principles and uses of analtytical instruments – balances,pH meter,colorimeter,
Spectrophotometer,ultracentrifuge,densitometer scanner,spectrophotometer,
Radioactivity counter, ESR and NMR spectrometers.
Unit 4:
4.0 Microscopy-Principles of light tsmission,electron,phasecontrast,fluorescene
scanning electron microscopes,M icrophotography image analysers.
5.0 Cell culture techniques
