The Government of India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has approved the
Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation in Government Medical College & Hospital,
Chandigarh. Following vacancies are required to be filled up, on contract basis, which are likely to
continue and funded by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare till GMCH creates its own regular
posts.
1. Reader : 01 post
2. Senior Resident : 02 posts
3. Occupational Therapist : 02 posts
4. Prosthetic and Orthotic Technician : 02 posts
5. Multipurpose Rehabilitation Work : 03 posts (OBC-1, UR-2)
6. Workshop Workers : 05 posts (OBC-1, UR-4)
The vacancies/categories indicative above are only tentative and are liable to
change as per requirement.
The Application Format alongwith qualification, experience, consolidated
emoluments, age, reservation etc. and other information can be obtained from the office of Director
Principal, Hall No. 1, 1st Floor, 'D' Block, Hospital Building, GMCH-32, Chandigarh, on any working
day from Monday to Friday between 9.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. The application format alongwith other
information can also be downloaded from our website gmch.gov.in
OTHER GENERAL CONDITIONS:
(i) The above vacancies/categories indicative above are only tentative and are liable to
change as per requirement.
(ii) Those candidates, who are employed in Central Government/State
Government/UTs/Statutory Bodies/Research Institutes etc., should send their application
alongwith Service/No Objection Certificate from the employer Through Proper Channel.
However, they may send an Advance Copy of their application alongwith Demand Draft of
Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) and other certificates and testimonials so as to reach
this office on or before the schedule date.
(iii) The applications should be submitted in a prescribed format and the applications that are
not submitted in the prescribed format will not be considered.
(iv) Incomplete/unsigned applications and application received without fee, photograph, self
attested copies of required certificates such as educational qualifications, experience, age,
caste/community certificate etc. and those received after the prescribed last date of receipt
of application will be summarily rejected without any communication to the candidate.
(v) The applications received by post directly beyond the last date of receipt of applications will
not be entertained under any circumstances. This institute will not be responsible for delay/
late delivery by the postal department.
(vi) The following documents should be attached with the Application Form: -
(a) Two copies of recent passport size photographs with one photograph pasted on the
Application Form.
(b) Self attested copies of certificates and testimonials in proof of educational
qualifications, date of birth, experience, caste certificate etc.
(c) Attested copies of Caste/Community certificate in the prescribed format in case of
candidate belonging to OBC category and should have the clause of non-creamy
layer.
(d) Demand Draft amounting to Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) prepared in
favour of Director Principal, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector-32,
Chandigarh, payable at Chandigarh.
(vii) No Travelling Allowance/Daily Allowance/Conveyance Allowance will be paid to the
candidates, who are called for the interview.
Applications in the prescribed Application Format alongwith self attested copies of all
the certificates/ testimonials and other documents, recent photograph and Demand Draft towards
Application Fee in a sealed cover super scribing “Application for the post of
___________________” should reach the office of Director Principal, Room No. 213, Block ‘D’,
Hospital Building, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector-32-B, Chandigarh by 24.09.2008
upto 5.00 PM
