Entrance College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (Examination for Admission to Post Graduate Courses in Pharmacy [M PHARMA] – 2007
Applications are invited for the Entrance Examination for admission to Post Graduate Degree Course in Pharmacy-2007 at the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram in the following specialties:
(a) Pharmaceutical Analysis
(b) Pharmacognosy & PhytoChemistry
(c) Pharmaceutics
(d) Pharmacology
(e) Pharmacy Practice
(f) Pharmaceutical Chemistry
Date of Entrance Examination: 06/01/2008 (Sunday) at Thiruvananthapuram
Course Detail: Master of Pharmacy (M Pharma)
Eligibility:
Eligibility for Admission
1. Nativity: Indian Citizen of Kerala Origin.
2. Academic Qualifications:
a) For General Candidates:
Pass in B-Pharma Degree of Kerala University or equivalent there to from an institution recognized by the AICTE and the Pharmacy Council of India with 50% marks for all the four years of B-Pharma examination taken together.
(However those students of final year B-Pharma who have appeared/appearing the for the final year B-Pharma examination are also eligible to apply for the entrance examination, provided they pass the examination as on the date of declaration of the Entrance examination result)
b) For Lecturers in Pharmacy:
Who seeks admission against the reserved quota, the minimum marks will be 50% (except in the case of Pharmacy practice, for which minimum 55% is required)
Selection: Based on Entrance Examination (except for seats reserved for Lecturer in Pharmacy and sponsored candidates) to be conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examination, Kerala on 06/01/2008 (Sunday) at Thiruvananthapuram. The examination will consist of one paper of three hours duration with 200 objective (multiple choices) questions.
Application Forms and Prospectus: Will be available in the website at www.cee-kerala.org of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala from 24/11/2007 onwards. Application Forms will not be sold from the office of the CEE or from the office of the DME.
Application Fee:
1. For General Candidates: Rs.800/- (Rupees Eight Hundred only) as demand draft drawn in favor of Commissioner for Entrance Examinations payable at Thiruvananthapuram.
2. For Service & Sponsored Candidates: Rs.800/- (Rupees Eight Hundred only) to be remitted in the Treasury under the Head of Account “0210-03-105-99”.
How to Apply: Those candidates, whose selection is based on the Entrance Examination, should forward their filled up applications along with supporting documents mentioned in the Prospectus and a Demand Draft of Rs. 800/- to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Housing Board Buildings, Santhi Nagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala – 695 001, either by Registered post or hand delivery.
(a) Service Candidates applying for seats reserved under various Service quota Should submit their applications to the Director of Medical Education, Medical College Campus, Medical College P.O., Thiruvananthapuram- 695011, through their Head of the Departments, concerned
(b) Service Candidates also Applying Under General Merit Seat should forward the original application to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations with Demand Draft for Rs.800/- and should submit a copy of the application form to the Director of Medical Education with Challan receipt for Rs 800/-
Last Date and Time for Receipt of Filled-In Application Forms
(a) For General Candidates: Application, complete in all respects, should reach the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations on or before 5 pm on 13.12.2007.
(b) For Service/Sponsored Candidates: Applications complete in all respects, should reach the Director of Medical Education, Medical College Campus, Thiruvananthapuram-695 011 on or before 5PM on 13/12/2007 through their Heads of Departments.
Belated, incomplete, defective and wrongly addressed applications will be summarily rejected and no correspondence will be undertaken in this regard. Candidates will neither be allowed to include any information in the application form nor to submit any certificates/documents claiming reservation or any benefits, after the submission of the application, under any circumstances. Candidates must note that they have to obtain the required certificates in the respective format given in the Application form. The certificates, which are not in the format specified in the application form, will not be considered under any circumstances.
The CEE will conduct the Entrance Examination, publish the Select and Wait list of candidates based on merit as assessed at the Entrance Examination and forward the same to Director of Medical Education for allotment and admission.
Candidates may go through details given in the Prospectus for admission to the Post graduate degree courses in Pharmacy (M Pharma), approved by the Government of Kerala, available in the website at www.cee-kerala.org before filling in the application form.
