IUTAM Symposium on Emerging Trends in Rotor Dynamics is being organized at IIT Delhi under the auspices of International Union of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (IUTAM) and Indian National Science Academy (INSA).
Scope of the Symposium :
Papers will be presented on all important aspects of rotor dynamics. A list of important topics is given below, which provides a broad outline of the scope (but not limited to the topics given) of the Symposium.
Analytical and computational methods in rotor dynamics
Experimental methods in rotor systems
Instability in rotor bearing systems
Misalignment, bow, crack, rub/impact, shrink fit and foundation effects
Nonlinear, parametric, asymmetry and other effects in rotors
System identification, model updating and SDM techniques
Active/semi active rotor vibration control
Smart material applications for rotor vibration control
Developments in bearings, dampers and seals
Non-metallic, composite rotors
Diagnostics, prognostics and condition monitoring of rotors
Analysis of bladed disc systems
Applications to special systems - geared systems, transmissions, vertical rotors, electrical machinery, aerospace propulsion systems like high speed turbopumps, multi-spool gas turbines etc., smart and micro rotor systems.
Deadlines :
Following schedule will be followed to finalize papers for poster
sessions:Submission of abstract on or before : September 30, 2008
Submission of manuscript of the paper : October 15, 2008
Review and final acceptance : December 15, 2008
