Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), a Navratna Central Public Sector Undertaking, is a premier Aeronautical Industry of South East Asia, with 18 Production / Overhaul / Service Divisions and 9 co-located R&D Centres spread across the Country. HAL’s spectrum of expertise encompasses design, development, manufacture, repair, overhaul and upgrade of Aircraft, Helicopters, Aero-engines, Industrial & Marine Gas Turbines, Accessories, Avionics & Systems and structural components for Satellites & Launch Vehicles.
HAL, over the last six decades, has grown progressively into an integrated Aerospace Organization with the indigenous design & development of Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH-Dhruv), Intermediate Jet Trainer (IJT) & Light Combat Aircraft (LCA-Tejas). The ongoing major projects & programmes include ALH (both in military & civil roles), IJT, LCA, Pilotless Target Aircraft (PTA), SU-30MKI & Hawk-Advanced Jet Trainer. Aligning with the emerging future requirements, HAL has conceptualised the indigenous development of Light Combat Helicopter (LCH), Combat Air Trainer (CAT), naval & trainer versions of LCA, Multi Role Transport Aircraft (MTA), Medium Lift Helicopter (MLH) etc.

OR (MSc.) Forensic Science & Criminology discipline with specified experience in Departments / Areas such as Vigilance / Defence / CBI / IB / Customs / Police / Para-Military Forces / Security / Banking / Insurance / Central / State Government.
For Candidates with IMM background: Degree in Aeronautical / Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics & Communication / Instrumentation & Control / Computer Science / IT / Production / Industrial Engineering / Metallurgy / Material Science Branches of Engineering from a recognized University / Institution.
For Candidates with Finance & Accounts background: University Degree with a pass in the final examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants / Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India / MBA (Finance) (2 years full time or 3 years part time / correspondence courses) from reputed / recognized Universities / Institutions.
For Candidates with HR background: University Degree with relevant Professional Qualification i.e., PG Degree / PG Diploma / MBA / MA / MSW (2 years full time or 3 years part time / correspondence courses) with specialization in Human Resources / Personnel Management / Industrial Relations from reputed and recognized Universities / Institutions.

Note: In addition to the total post Qualification experience as indicated above, candidates are required to possess a minimum of 3 years experience in the next below Grade / Level (applicable for PSUs/Govt) or in other equivalent posts, as on 1-10-2008, with the following exceptions for Grade-II post: IMM & IT background (with Degree in Engineering & Technology) = Minimum 2 years Finance & Accounts (with CA / ICWA qualifications) = Minimum 1 year. In case of candidates possessing the qualification of Degree of Engineering plus PG Degree in Engineering, the period of experience will be reduced by the prescribed period of the Post Graduate Engineering Course, subject to a maximum of 2 years. APPLICATION FEE Rs.200/-, which is non-refundable (exempted in the case of SC/ST/PWD candidates), drawn on any Nationalized Bank (preferably on State Bank of India or Indian Bank) in favour of “Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd" payable at Bangalore is to be sent to the address given below, endorsing the candidate's name and the Application Reference Number generated by the Computer on submission of application, on the reverse side of the Demand Draft. The Demand Draft should have been obtained between 8-10-2008 and 31-10-2008.
RESERVATION / RELAXATION & CONCESSIONS Reservation as per Govt. Directives will be available. The post-wise vacancies in the reserved categories may be filled up in any of the appropriate streams. Besides, the following Relaxations & Concessions would also be available to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD/ XSM categories:
Upper Age Limit is relaxable by 5 years in respect of SC/ST candidates. Upper Age Limit is relaxable by 3 years in respect of OBC candidates, provided a recently obtained Certificate (not older than six months as on 01-10-2008) of not belonging to the ‘Creamy Layer’ in the format prescribed by the Government of India, from a Competent Authority is produced by the candidate at the time of interview. In respect of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), upper Age Limit is relaxable by 5 years, which will be over and above the relaxation admissible for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories. For candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period of 01-01-1980 to 31-12-1989, upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years. Relaxation will be extended as per rules in respect of Ex servicemen /Commissioned Officers/ECOs/SSCOs who have rendered at least 5 years of Military Service and have been released on completion of assignment. SC / ST / PWD candidates are exempted from payment of Application Fee. GENERAL CONDITIONS Only Indian Nationals need apply. Mere submission of application will not entail right for claiming Appointment.
Candidates are required to furnish detailed break-up of their experience. Applications with incomplete details will be rejected.
HAL reserves the right to cancel the advertisement and / or the selection process there-under.
HAL reserves the right to raise or lower the Specifications, depending upon the response to the advertised posts.
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for Interview / written test.
Age and experience are to be counted as on 01-10-2008.
In case of candidates possessing the qualification of Degree in Engineering plus Post Graduate Degree in Engineering, the period of Experience will be reduced by the prescribed period of the Post Graduate Engineering Course, subject to a maximum of 2 years.
Out of the total post qualification experience mentioned against each position, candidates are required to possess a minimum of 3 years experience in the next below Grade / Level (applicable for PSUs/Govt) or in other equivalent posts, as on 01.10.2008.
Candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC / PWD categories are required to submit copies of Caste Certificates/Disability Certificate at the time of Interview.
Applicants serving in Govt. / Public Sector Enterprises should produce NOC at the time of Interview.

The last date for submission of application is 31st of October 2008. The Website will be kept open till 2400 hours on 31st of October 2008 for this purpose.
Application once submitted cannot be altered under any circumstance. Candidates are required to possess a valid e-mail ID, which is to be entered in the Application Blank ONLINE, so that intimation regarding Interview can be sent to shortlisted candidates. Candidates other than SC/ST and PWD are required to furnish the details of Demand Draft in order to register their application Online.
