Amitabh Bachchan : Born in 1942, Amitabh Bachchan is one of the highest - paid actors in Bollywood. Prior to his advent into this industry, Bachchan earned his degree in science from Kirorimal College, Delhi, and then worked as a frieght broker fro shipping firm Bird & Company in Kolkata.
Yashwant Sinha: This senior politician joined the Indian Administrative Services in 1960 and spent over 24 years holding important posts during his service tenure. He resigned from the Indian Administrative Services in 1984 and joined active politics as a member of the Janta Party. He was appointed All-India general secretary of the party in 1986 and was elected member of the Rajya Sabha in 1988. Javagal Srinath: Made his debut in international cricket in 1991. Srinath is the only fast bowler of India to take over 2000-test wickets. He obtained his engineering degree from Mysore University. In his early days, he showed his passion towards the game and despite a promising career in engineering, he opted to play cricket.
Anil Kumble: Born in Bangalore in 1970, he studied mechanical engineering at RV College of Engineering. He has been serving the Indian cricket team since 1990 and reached the hall of fame by picking up over 500 test wickets and more than 300 one - day international victims.
Rajiv Gandhi: The late leader is the youngest person todate to hold the Prime Minister's office (from 1984 to 1989). Rajiv Gandhi worked as a professional pilot for Indian Airlines before coming into politics. It is said that when he took the decision his spouse Sonia Gandhi was very upset.
Shekhar Kapoor: He is one of the renowed filmmakers of India, having made the acclaimed Bandit Queen. He contributed as an executive producer in the film Guru. He was a chartered accountant by profession but gave up this career to make his debut in Bollywood.
