In the current market scenario when every MNC is working out reasons to fire employees to cut down their expenditure,Every candidate looking for a job should be well prepared in all aspects.

Here are a few tips regarding resume preparation that candidates normally overlook and thus become unsucessful many times before analysing the fault and correcting it.

Cover letter
According to a survey almost 80% of the companies instantly reject resumes without a proper covering letter attached to them.A candidate must precisely mention about him/her along with the reason why he wants to join that particulat organization.

Contact Information
Try and provide contact information of your own such as Name, telephone number, email address on every page of the resume as it truely helps the company to contact you.

Brief description
Right in the start of your resume you should briefly mention about yourself in an impressive manner. This is the most important factor which plays an important role in the selection.

Skills & Experience
Clearly mention your skills and experience for the designation you are applying for.You should also make the company count the benefits of the skills you possess.

Presentation of resume
Your resume should be precised but attractive. The resume should be designed based on the designation you are applying for.

No bluf entertained
Remember that the other person sitting in front of you is your senior and can read your face and body languauge. So do not try to bluf him.Mention all the facts in your resume with truth and do not lie to him.

Personal Information
There is a big difference between biodata and resume. So while preparing your resume do not mention personal information such as age, gender, height, weight and marital status.

Proof Reading
Try to make the resume pointwise mentioning all the highlights in points.Use correct words and avoid making grammatical mistakes. Its always better to proof read the prepared resume so that silly mistakes can be avoided.

Job Hopper
Do not mention all the facts in your resume because generally the person taking your interview asks "Tell me something about yourself which is not mentined in your resume" so be prepared for this question. And if you have switched many jobs then mention about two or three of them in a line or two otherwise it can leave an impression about you being a job hopper who is very unstable with jobs.Companies avoid to appoint such candidates.
