The Seventy Fifth (Platinum Jubilee) Convocation of the Andhra University is scheduled to be conducted on 16.01.2008. The Candidates who have successfully completed their courses at the 2005 main examinations only are eligible for the award of Degrees/Diplomas in this convocation. However, Ph.D. and M.Phil Degrees will be awarded as on date (15.12.2007).
Candidates who wish to obtain their Degrees and Diplomas in the following courses IN-PERSON or IN-ABSENTIA should apply in the prescribed proforma, enclosing a Demand Draft for the amount as specified in the proforma drawn in favour of the Registrar, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam from any Nationalized Bank. The proforma can be had from the Controller of Examinations and also can be down loaded from Andhra University website (www.andhrauniversity.info).
FEE PRESCRIBED : In -Person Rs.300/-
In- Absentia Rs.350/-
COURSES: Ph.D., M.Phil., P.G. Degree, P.G. Diploma, Professional Degrees offered by this University through its constituent and affiliated colleges, including those from the School of Distance Education (SDE) of Andhra University, Visakhapatnam.
LAST DATE : The last date for receipt of the duly filled in applications along with enclosures for both IN- PERSON and IN-ABSENTIA is 31.12.2007.
The filled in applications with all enclosures including the Demand Draft for the fee prescribed should be sent in a cover duly superscribing ‘APPLICATION FOR CONVOCATION – 2008” to Smt. V.ANNAMANIAMMA, DEPUTY REGISTRAR, ANDHRA UNIVERSITY to be received on or before 31.12.2007. Applications received after the due date and those incomplete, will not be considered and will summarily be rejected without any intimation.
The Degree and Diploma in respect of B.A., B.Sc., including Home Science, B.Com., B.A. (O.L.) etc., to be awarded by this University will also be conferred at this Convocation, but they will be issued by the respective Colleges, after this Convocation. Therefore the candidates for these degrees and diplomas need not apply for them, pursuant to this Notification.
The Degrees and Diplomas of the Prize Holders to be awarded at this Convocation will be intimated to the respective candidates.
Candidates who have been selected and informed for the award of the Prizes/Medals have to send the balance amount in addition to the amount allotted through a Demand Draft in favour of Registrar, Andhra University and the filled in proforma for the prize/medal together with DD may be sent to the Asst.Registrar (Accounts) separately for the preparation of such medals.
in view of the Convocation, the Degree certificates under “Tatkal” and “In-advance” will not be issued from 05.01.2008 until the Convocation is over (16.01.2008).
NOTE: The candidates who have already obtained their Degree in advance if they are selected for the Prize/Medal need to get themselves registered for the Convocation by paying Rs.300/- DD drawn in favour of Registrar, Andhra University and send such requests to the Controller of Examinations separately.
