The last Samurai

This movie a master piece by Tom Cruise (Mission Impossible fame). This is the one which take you through a different world for its intricacies of the movie making.

The Plot starts with the Ex-Army caption Nathan Algren who has turned into a frustrated Drunkard because of his innocent-killing-guilt during his missions. He will be contracted by the Japan Army to train the japaneese goverment army in defeating down the tribal rebels lead by Katsumoto. During an unexpected war, he will be caught for prison by katsumoto because of his visions coming true. Katsumoto takes Algren to his Son's village where he gets treatment by the sister of katsumoto, who in turn is the wife of Hirotaro, killed during the war by Algren.

Algren during his treatment and stay through this period get through the japaneese culture and discipline which impresses him strongly. After several encounters Algren will be escorted respectfully and safely to tokyo. After some polical cold wars Algren realises that truth lies with katsumoto and in the name of globalisation, the Japaneese emperor is being brainwashed. He joins katsumoto in his war and fights against the Japaneese army. the last part is the emotional one when emporer asks "How Katsumoto died?" Algren replies "I can tell you how he Lived".
