Tarleton State University is a regional, comprehensive University created in 1899, in the state of Texas. Tarleton State University is a State Government University in the US and is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award the Bachelors degree and the Master’s degree. Tarleton State University is a member of the internationally reputed Texas A & M University-System. Tarleton State University's Central Texas center is located in Kolleen and another campus is in Stephenville.
Tarleton State University provides educational programs, which emphasize excellence and service for students. The University functions as an educational, scientific, and cultural center for North-Central Texas. While the primary emphasis is on teaching and excellence in the classroom,-Tarleton is totally committed to expanding roles in research and service. Learning and the pursuit of truth are fostered in a culture of excellence. It enables students to acquire knowledge, understanding, skills and cultural experiences necessary to grow as individuals, achieve successful careers and becoming responsible citizens and entrepreneurs.
Tarleton State University presently has 7,400 students with a male-female ratio of 1:1 and the student-Faculty ratio is 18:1. Students from approximately 45 states and 17 foreign countries comprise the student body. More than 275 full-time faculty are devoted to academic excellence and to the personal development of each student. The Association of Collegiate Business Schools & Programs has accredited the Business Administration programs of Tarleton State University. Tarleton State University’s Computer Information Systems Department was selected by the International Data Processing Management Association for offering the outstanding four-year program in North America. TSU has proposed to commit 5 assistantships to AIT students in MS (IS) program that means almost entire expense of their studies will be adequately met. Successful AIT students are eligible for Scholarships at Tarleton State University which are competitive. However, track record of AIT students is excellent in getting - scholarships.
