PSEB is a power generating and distribution organization of Government of Punjab. It has played a key role in the Punjab Government plans for Electrification. PSEB is looking for talented and active young candidates with brilliant academic record to join the organization on the following posts

1. ASSISTANT ENGINEER

(On Training) (Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical,Computer Science and Civil)

Pay Scale : Rs.7750/14500 with Initial start of
8550/- +Allowances

Age as on 01.01.2009 : 20 to 35 yrs

1a- Assistant Engineer

Eligibility Criteria for 1a

B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc.Engg. or equivalent degree in respective discipline recognized by AICTE or UGC or DEC or Institution of Engineers India or PTU or any other statutory bodies established/ to be established under the Act of Parliament.
OR
PSEB serving officials, who possess 3/ 4 years Diploma in Engineering in respective discipline and have minimum 12 years qualifying service as Technical Subordinates with satisfactory service record

1b- Assistant Engineer
Post code : 25 - Civil - No of posts - 10

Eligibility Criteria for 1a

B.E,/B.Sc. Engg. or equivalent degree in Civil discipline recognized by AICTE or UGC or DEC or Institution of Engineers India or PTU or any other statutory bodies established / to be established under the Act of Parliament.
OR
PSEB serving Sectional officers ( Civil ), who possess 3/4 years Diploma in Civil Engineering and have minimum 12 years qualifying service as Sectional Officer ( Civil ) with satisfactory service record, shall also be eligible to apply for the post.

2. Junior Engineer (Electrical)

Pay Scale : Rs.6300/10700/- + Allowances
Age as on 01.01.2009 : 18 to 35 yrs
No. Of Posts : 225

Eligibility Criteria

3/4 years Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 60% or above marks from recognized Institution
OR
Degree course in Electrical Engineering
OR
3/4 years Diploma in Electrical Engineering with an experience of 5 years as Lineman in PSEB.
OR
Matric with ITI , with an experience of 10 years as Lineman in PSEB

3. Sub-Station Attendant

Pay Scale : Rs.4300/7500/- + Allowances
Age as on 01.01.2009 : 18 to 35 yrs
No. Of Posts : 125

Eligibility Criteria

ITI/ Electrical with minimum 50% marks and 2 years Apprenticeship experience in the PSEB.
OR
Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 50% marks.
OR
Diploma in Electronics & Communication with 50% marks.
OR
Diploma in Instrumentation & Process Control with 50% marks

Knowledge of Punjabi :

Candidate must have passed Punjabi atleast upto Matric standard.

Application Fee :

Rs.400/- (Rs.100 for SC/ST) for Assistant Engineer, Rs.200/- (Rs.50/- for SC/ST) for Junior Engineer and Sub Station Attendant in the form of DD favouring Accounts Officer/Cash, PSEB Patiala payable at Patiala.
