National Seminar on Emerging Trends in Participatory Watershed Management Project

Focal theme of the Seminar

Watershed development has been adopted as an approach to conserve and develop the natural resources. Peoples participation as the main strategy for its planning and implementation which is the most important component in this approach. Now-a-days, the continuing population growth and increasing demand for exploitation of natural resources have led to its large-scale degradation. This necessitate judicious planning and systematic implementation of
watershed projects in an integrated manner.



Accommodation

Accommodation charges have to be borne by the participants themselves. Limited rooms are available in the University Faculty Guest House on a first come
first serve basis in Gandhigram. Hotel accommodation can also be arranged on request at Dindigul.

Faculty Guest House: Rs.50/day (Single Non A/c)
Rs. 200/day (Single A/c.)

Hotel A Grade : Rs. 1000/day
B Grade Rs. 600/day

Ordinary : Rs. 250-400/day (Double bed) : Rs. 150-250/day (Single bed)
