Applications invited from eligible candidates for M.TECH DEGREE (EVENING) COURSE- 2009

Eligibility for Admission

(a) Indian Nationals

(b) Having an Engineering Degree with minimum 60% marks (for SC/ST candidates the minimum marks will be 55%).

(c) Candidate should be in employment in the Engineering profession having a minimum of 2 years experience after passing the qualifying examination at the time of applying in any one of the following fields.

(i) Government Service.
(ii) Semi-government organization
(iii) Public or private Ltd. Companies registered under Companys Act.
(iv) Private (Aided & Unaided) Engineering Colleges & Polytechnics.
(v) Establishments which come under the purview of ESI and Employees Provident Fund.

(d) Those who have passed AMIE/AMIETE are also eligible to apply if they satisfy the following conditions.

1. 60% of the aggregate of section B of the AMIE/AMIETE Examination.
2. Professional experience of 3 years after acquiring the qualification in the field of specialization.
3. Valid GATE score in the respective branch.

Duration of the course

The course is of 3.5 years (7 semesters) duration and will include Lectures, Laboratory works, Seminars and Project work for 5 semesters and Thesis for the last 2 semesters (one year). The hours of work will be 6.00 PM to 9.00 PM. Normally 5 days a week.

Fees payable by the student are as follows

Admission Fee : Rs. 300.00
Tuition Fee : Rs. 18000.00 per annum
Special Fee : Rs. 3015.00 per semester
Caution Deposit : Rs. 1000.00 (Refundable)

Submission of Application:

Application form duly filled in with a Demand Draft for Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred Only) drawn in favour of the Principal, College of Engineering, Trivandrum and copies of the following documents, attested by a Gazetted Officer, should reach the following address by hand or through Registered Post on or before 07/02/2009 5.00 PM.

(i) Degree Certificate.
(ii) Mark list for all semesters/Final year of degree course.
(iii) Employment and conduct certificate from the present employer
(in the form prescribed in the application form).
(iv) Transfer Certificate (to be produced only at the time of admission).
(v) Relevant page of S.S.L.C book or equivalent certificate in proof of age.
(vi) Community and Nativity Certificate. (SC/ST candidates only).
(vii) Experience Certificate.
(viii) One self addressed envelope with Five rupees postal stamp.
(ix) Certificates in proof of the employment in public or private limited companies or establishments which come under the purview of ESI or EPF.
(x) No Objection Certificate (to be produced at the time of admission only)
