I am a fresh graduate in BSc (Hons) Biotechnology and despite the experience I had gained by presenting my research project, I had bad experience attending Interviews. First of all, I did not get a job in the field i pursued. This was because the Biotechnology was not demanding in Malaysia an the job opportunity was very much limited. However, my passion for Biotechnology kept me trying without giving up. I was called out for several Interviews and I wold like to share the experience that I have gained from these interviews. One general Question I encounter from every interview I attended was to describe about myself. I have tried arranging my sentence while driving and while day dreaming to give the best answer. I manage to do it but however when I am being interviewed I could hardly recall what I have figured out. This was very depressing. I dunt know why I get very nervous when I am being interviewed. Another incident that took place was when I actually applied for a sales executve position in a company that supplies medical equipment. I wanted an exposure in my field and another reason or my application was because I had no other choice as the research field were demanding for experienced graudates. I was questioned if I were interested to pursue my studies further and I just cant beleive, I was franc to the employer that my passion was doing research. That made him make a decision that if I were employed I might be going to his client office not to promote the equipment but to expose my interest in research as most of his customers were from the research industries. I did not get that into my mind. I actually digged my own grave. The lessons that I have learnt is never feel nervous and always apply for a job that interest you. When you attend an interview there is nothing to be prepared of. All you need to do is to be formal and speak to the interviewer just ike how you speak to your friends with added mannerism. When you apply for a job that have caught your attention it clearly shows that you will succeed in the interview as you are iterested in the field. I speak based on my experience. The third interview I attended was in a research company and I convinced myself to be firm and confident. With gods grace I succeeded.

Being A fresher...........

Really this the very hard time to get job.Because many of MNC's companies not hiring peoples from colleges now.so now outside there will be too much competition for a job.earlier for 1 seat 10 people will apply for that job and now for 1 post 100 people apply for job.So now getting job outside is very difficult.
one more example is earlier people will applying for jobs with which their education done.but now for cleark post in bank even engineer will apply.hope this example tells you how musc difficult in getting job outside.

one small suggestion is please everyone try for a job during your education only don't wait for the completion.

Best regards,
VIKAS S
