This is a good and simple analysis of education.

The common man does not have any of these in his mind when he sends his children to school. His aim is to prepare his children for a good job. People are not bothered about the standard of education so long as it qualifies their children to write the entrance examination for professioal courses. For many it is just to get a job.

About the aims of education, neither the teacher is bothered not the students are interested. This has become just a topic for eduational psychologists to do research.

Gaining knowledge comes through the process of education. Here also the standard is not the same as it used to be when there were only a small number of stuents under a teacher.

No conscious effort is made by anyone to bring deucation anywhere near what is considered to be the ideal.
