There is a need to bring reform in the present education system.
We can see the influence of western education every where. The target of educational system is to give degrees and make money out of it.
Higher education is becoming more costly. Especially engineering, Information Technology etc., are every difficult for a middle class person to join.
The present system is not meeting the needs of the youth due to certain political and financial constraints. It is mostly westernized.
At present, education is a business, where every business man is sure can make money. This makes education available to only rich and not to the middle class and the lower class people.
No doubt that present educational system is making engineers, doctors, lawyers and other officers but there is lack of values. Our present educational system is not playing a significant role in shaping the future of our youth.
The present educational system can not make the child to become independent as they lack job orientation programmes. Institutions are giving more stress on completing syllabus and help the students to pass the exams instead of building their character and enhancing their personalities.
Getting better education is turning much difficult for people.
Some schools are demaning more than one lakh as donation for pre-nursery or kindergarden admission.
If this is the case, how can slum children can be educated?
Our Government should take some immediate steps to reform the education system in India. Only then we can see the real development of our country.
