No Case Of Swine Flu In India

The governemet of india on thursday said there is no suspected case of swine flu in india.The world health organization on thursday said india had a tremendous capacity to deal with the swine flu situation in the event of an out break.

Director of communicable diseases jai P. narain told to media that neither india nor any of the south east asian countries had reported any case of swine flu. India has the capacity to handle any situation and it was in the forefront of praparedness as it was in dealing with SARS and avian influenza.

while mexicpo confirmed 26 human cases of infection, canda reported 13 laboratory confirmed cases, austria 1 , jermany and newzeland 3 each, israel 2, spain 4 and the UK 5.

The who regional office had a stockpile of 3 millions tamiflu doses
