iam going to share with you,my experience with e-serve limited.It was th campus interview. Initially; There was the I.Q, mental aptitude test in our college I had scored just 46 out of 100,so on the interview day ,candidates who scored below 50 were asked to write the solution for the case study. CASE Study as follows. The case study was about a cosmetic product.The summary of the study was,: A facial cream was introduced in the market and advertised, It even reached the retail shops for sales…but it was later the laboratory authorities realized that the facial cream contains a chemical item that cause skin allergies and cancer.The questions were as follows: How do we stop the sale of the product with out affecting the brand name? What is market segmentation? Is advertisement socially harmful? Well.i managed to answer them with examples.Then I was called for the second stage GROUP DISCUSSION took place with 16 members.The topic that was disussed was Is India still following a democratic way of Government literally? I initiated the discussion with greetings to others that fetched me extra one point and spoke about: Present democracy,early and present leaders of India..and gave chance for others to discuss aswell.I spoke with gestures and eye contact with the team leader and members. I was the only candidate to be selected out of 15,then I was called for personal interview, discussed about my family,qualification,hobbies etc with reference to my resume. The interviewer asked "if im ready to work for night shifts?" I boldly said yes! Then the interview panel with 4 interviewers called me to their room to test my subject knowledge.I want in with elegance and respect.Though I was bit scared to face highly technical people, I didnot show it on my face.The question was Difference between shares and debentures? i gave some irrelevant answers at the beginning but later I ended up tactfully explaining about the rate of returns on their values.. Other interviewer asked by looking at my resume, "The constituents of Journalism and public relation definition?" as I had mentioned in the resume about my diploma in journalism course. Immediately another question was thrown i.e "What is the capital of Denmark..?" i knew the answer and said “Copahagen” Then I was requested to wait outside for sometime..then I was called once again and put for test with the following questions: What are my recent achievements? I shared with them my achievement about winning the poetry award for my poem.They asked me to recite the poem. What are the current events happening? I told about the bird flu,recession in economy ,politiacla nalysis etc. Then simple questions related to WIFI, blackberry, my college etc was asked…then he gave me a trial balance and asked me to balance it..somehow I managed to balance them at quickest time. He asked me what is 11 x 13? I said smilingly I don’t know sir..he questioned me back..how come being at college level,you don’t know the simplest calculations…then I replied him but my answer was wrong..he said it is not correct..so I told him…if I was good at maths,I would have chosen science group at my higher secondary. He raised his eyebrow up and said:smart girl” Then another gentle man asked me if I have any questions, queries to ask him related to the concern…I asked him about: the nature of their organization activities,their head quarters..It was the E-serve company with association of Citibank… He replied to me at detail and asked me to wait outside..I waited with least hope because I had the feeling that I over acted…then the secretary came, and said,”excuse me,you are selected” Thank you and i hope this was useful to you.
