Durga Soren, son of Shibu Soren chief of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) passes away. He was suffering from Kidney failure.

Shibu Soren commonly known as Guruji cancelled his meet with Sonia Gandhi after this sad news.

Durga Soren contested from Godda in Loksabha election 2009 from JMM but lost to Nishikant Dubey of BJP. He was also general secretary of JMM.

Durga was taken to the Bokaro General Hospital after he complained of uneasiness. Doctors at the hospital declared him brought dead, Hospital director A K Singh said.

He is survived by wife and three daughters.
