Shortcut method for multiplication of two numbers having three digits.

This method is very useful for people who are preparing for bank exams:

Suppose the numbers are ABC
x DEF
Start solving from the right:
Step 1:
First digit from the right will be digit at unit place of product of F & C.
Carry over the rest.

Step 2:
Second digit from the right will be digit at unit place of product of F & B plus product of E & C plus the carry over taken from step 1.
Carry over the rest.

Step 3:
Third digit from the right will be digit at unit place of product of F & A plus product of D & C plus product of E & B plus the carry over taken from step 2.
Carry over the rest.

Step 4:
Fourth digit from the right will be digit at unit place of product of E & A plus product of D & B plus the carry over taken from step 3.
Carry over the rest.

Step 5:
Fifth & Sixth (if any) digit from the right will be the product of D & A plus the carry over taken from step 4.
