Workshop On PHYSICS: SCOPE AND AWARENESS
for school children
April 16-26, 2008
Department of Physics, Cochin University of Science and Technology, in collaboration with SPIE-CUSAT chapter and IUCAA Reference Centre (IRC) is organizing a ten day workshop for school children. The students completing 9th standard in 2008 are eligible to apply for the workshop. The Workshop is to give an exposure to various interesting aspects of physics. It will also give hands-on experience on various experiments, telescope making* etc. This will be a great opportunity for students who want to pursue a scientific career. The event also opens an opportunity for students to see some of the frontier experiments that are being carried out in the Department.
How to apply
Students can download the application form and apply for admission to this workshop recommended by their Principal/Headmistress/Headmaster. Due to the limitations in the number of seats a maximum of three students can be recommended from an institution. Selection will be made by the department and will be intimate the applicant by March 10th.
