Do you want to open a bank account? Learn the steps and procedure to open a bank account in India.

A bank account is a necessary thing in present day. Every one needs an account to make their money transactions. I'm also a human like you people so I needed an account recently and created one with ATM card. I'll tell you about creating a savings account with ATM facility with my experience.

First Step

Friends I created my account in State bank of India so,I'll tell you the procedure followed in this bank which is common for all the remaining banks.First get an application from the bank in the nearest branch.Fill the application with the required details.Tick the ATM card section to get an ATM card which is most required. Then put the signatures where ever required. Now take xerox copy of the proof you are going to submit. One proof for your identity and the other for your residential identity. For the sake of your identity you can just submit your college id card xerox also.Take the original copies along with xerox copies. Now go to the bank where you got your application.

Second Step:At the bank

Now guys you are ready with our application filled completely and with 3 passport size latest photographs.Get the filled application checked by a staff member in the bank.He/she will verify the identity proof and residential proof. There is no need for you to submit the originals in the bank. Then they will keep a stamp on your application and it will be sent for approval. After approval you will get a passbook with an account number. But to get this done you have to wait for at least two hours.

Third Step:Final step

Now you will get a pass book and you have sign in the register which is there at the bank. Now you have to deposit a minimum amount of Rupees 1000 for ATM card facility. You will get your ATM card only after 7 to 10 days. You will get your card directly to your home. After getting your card you must go to the bank and take your secret pin number. It is better for you to change the pin given by the Bank after getting it.Your pin number will be mailed by the bank to your id provided in the application. But it is better for you to remember the pin and delete the mail as soon as possible.

Now you are an Account holder along with ATM card.
