Hi friends, I was interviewed by Bluestar company on 17 October 2008 for the post of GET( Graduate Engineer Trainee) during my college placement program. Yes it was a pretty good experience, i am telling you the part after the technical aptitute test round. the Technical Aptitute Test was a very lengthy paper i have seen before i was of 100 marks with no negative marking. I cleared this round by 67 marks(these marks were displayed and cut-off was 55 marks out of 100). I was waiting long time for the my turn to come. The interview started at around 2 pm. and my turn came at 7:30pm. My interview started :- (this is the conversation with the person who interviewed me) --(me)May i come in sir---yes please ,have a seat---(me)thankyou. --So what are thinking now---(me)sir thinking about my bag which i left somewhere and i am remembering. --okay leave it(me) okay. --Tell me about your family background (me)told about my father,mother,sister,brother and there occupation. --okay, why isn't your resume updated(me) sorry for that sir i was in a hurry. --tell me what you know about Bluestar(me) told what i read at their website guys do this part very well. --hmm,and why you have done a java course,you are a mechanical engineer then?(me)yes sir i actually got a scholarship from NIIT. --okay do you have any back logs(me) yes i had one. --which subject(me) DOM-2. --which are your favorite subject(me) designing, thermodynamics,I.C. engines. --okay tell me how does a fan rotate(me)hmm, sir in mechanical sense due to Ball Bearings. --yes,you are right ,the candidates before just explained me about the electrical part,you seems to be a mechanical one.(me)okay and smiled. --have you opened any AC or refrigirator (me) yes i have seen the compressor part of refrigirator and not yet opened any AC. --okay explain me the working of compressor that you saw(me) explained the very details to him. --hmm,you seems good. --where you see yourself after say 5 years.(me) told him my ambition in reference with BLUESTAR.(he really got impressed). --okay Atul you can go now thanks a lot.(me)thank you sir. Yes i got selected for this post and salary offered was:-4.10 lakhs. BUT UNFORTUNATELY DUE TO THIS RECESSION, THE BUSINESS PLAN OF BLUESTAR CHANGED ANY I LOST MY JOB BEFORE JOINING THE COMPANY. Now I am looking for job but not yet got one. But I am pretty confident that i will get it very soon Atul Barapatre B.E. Mechanical Engineer 2009.
