this is my interview of Infosys comapny
I am a Mechanical Engineer still gave this interview to try my luck in software industry (since i have some knowledge)
We had the selection procedure consists :-
1. Written round.
2. Hr + Technical interview round.
The written round was a numerial and verbal test(i cleared).
After clearing the aptitude test.
Then came the interview(after long time).
Tech interview:
Sir: which is the first computer?
Atul: I could not answer it. And said sorry.
Sir: How can you change the booting process?
Atul: By pressing f6.
Sir: What is the configuration of your laptop?
Atul: Answer it perfectly as I am a hardware specialist.
Sir: What is difference between c and c++?
Atul: Defined it as good as possible. He was quite impressed I think.
Sir: What is exception handling?
Atul: Answered it with an example, Of course in a paper.
Then he came to DBMS
Sir: What is normalization? And types?
Atul: Defined it very nicely as it was my favourite subject. He was impressed by the way I answered. I gave all the types of normalization with examples.
Sir: What is indexing?
Atul: Also answered it. But I did not know much about it.
Sir: Types of indexing?
Atul: sorry sir I don’t know.
Sir: What is polymorphish?
Atul: described it by real life example. Again he impressed and said very well.
HR interview taken by madam 9in between of above conversation0.
Ma’am: Have you taken your lunch as the interview was after lunch?
Atul: I said no because I was eagerly waiting for my interview and cant feel my hunger.
Ma’am: Tell me about your self?
Atul: Described
Ma’am: How many members in your family?
Atul: Answered
Ma’am: What are the good qualities your friend finds in you?
Atul: I said hard working, loyalty, truthfulness
Ma’am: In which area you would like to improve yourself?
Atul: I said I would like to improve my communication skill.
Ma’am: What are you doing for that?
Atul: I impressed her by saying people do reading, mirror speaking etc but I improve mine by talking to people like you.
Ma’am: What are your achievements?
Atul: Told every achievements in life small or big.
he asked me do you have any question for me?
I asked two questions about company.
The interview lasted for 30 minutes.
And finally when the result was declared my name was there.
