Contract Signed to Build More Girls’ Schools - RIYADH

The Ministry of Education’s Department of Girls on Saturday signed a SR526 million contract to build girls’ schools and student accommodation across the Kingdom.
Dr. Osama Fahd Al-Hizan, finance and administrative director at the ministry, signed the contract with Dr. Sultan Al-Amrous from the Al-Armac Construction Company. A number of other contracts, which are being signed in accordance to the instruction of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah and Crown Prince Sultan, are also scheduled for signing in coming days.
Spelling out the details of the multimillion contracts, Ibrahim Al-Quba, purchasing manager at the ministry, said the contracts come within the framework of the ministry’s plan to meet the natural increase in numbers of students. The ministry also aims to replace rented buildings with new facilities.
He added that the projects would include the construction of six schools in Jeddah’s Al-Khazan, Al-Qaidah, Al-Salamah, Al-Matar, Al-Ghaleel and Al-Nakheel districts. Seven educational building will also be constructed in the Ardh Al-Maahid, Al-Hamza, Al-Naeem, Mukhatat Al-Nour, Al-Nuzha, Al-Taufeeq and Al-Aziziah districts of Jeddah.
Another three schools will be built in Madinah’s Bakheet Emran, Al-Aqoul and Airport Districts.
Seven educational complexes will also be built in the Al-Sahafa, Al-Taaon, Al-Andalus, Al-Aziziah, Al-Yarmouk and Al-Nadheem districts of Riyadh. Another two educational complexes will also be built in the Al-Nuzha and Prince Sultan districts in Ahsa. Three schools are also scheduled to be constructed in Makkah.
