Mozilla 3.5

The Mozilla 3.5 has been released. In appearance, it looks just like an upgrade of Mozilla 3.0, but the inside features are quite refreshing.

I am listing down the features:

1. Mozilla 3.5 is faster than Mozilla 3.0 by about twice. So no need to wait more while opening your gmail account(which generally takes time)
Also it is only of 7.74 mb. The best part, as claimed by the developers is that it consumes less memory while running.

2. Next is the user language option. Mozilla 3.5 is offering 70 odd languages in which you can download this 3.5 version. This is a good move to popularize Mozilla web browser.

3. Private browsing. Internet explorer 8 has it. Google chrome has it. So Mozilla 3.5 has it. Since I am a Chrome user, the privacy mode in Mozilla 3.5 is little inconvenient for me. Suppose you are working on 3 tabs and then select ‘in private’ mode, then those 3 tabs will be invisible and you will only have the ‘private mode’. Once you delete this private browsing, the 3 tabs will reappear. So the drawback is that you can’t work simultaneously on both. I think Google chrome is better in this case as it opens a incognito (private) mode in a different window.

4. When you want to delete the history, Mozilla offers more. Options are LAST HOUR, LAST 2 HOURS, WHOLE DAY. Also if you go to history, there is a new option “forget about this site”. Selecting this will delete everything browsed in that particular site.

5. Also Mozilla has a new feature in its tabs. Now you can drag a tab and make it a new window. Also reverse is possible. But this feature is difficult to use when the window is in maximized condition. It becomes very difficult to convert a window into a tab. Here I would like to appreciate Google chrome where no such problem is faced.

6. It has also got Trace Monkey JavaScript engine that makes web applications run faster. it also provides stability to Mozilla 3.5(something that is missing in Google chrome)

7. Hey !! one more important feature: suppose you are writing something in a website(for eg. indiastudychannel), and the data is not saved. Even if you close the window, later when you open Mozilla we can get the webpage and even those unsaved data???

Some features could have made Mozilla 3.5 better. There is no feature to disable photo option (available in opera).
Out of a scale of 10, I will award Mozilla 7.5.
