For admission to the University of Lucknow in the session 2009-10 candidates can apply for admission through the OMR forms that can be obtained from the cashier’s office and submit it at the designated place. The other option is that the candidate can fill the form online from anywhere in India. The online submission form can be accessed from the University website. The candidate can go to the online submission page, fill in their information and submit it. Thereafter the candidate has to take a print out of the filled in form and submit the requisite application fees through the receipt form generated, to any branch of The State Bank of India and send a copy of this form by speed post only to the Chief Coordinator (Admissions), Department of Education, University of Lucknow, Lucknow – 226 007.
The admission process for M.Phil, M.A., M.Com., M.Sc. LL.M. LL.B. (three years) courses will start from June 1, 2009. The forms will be available at the Cashier’s office of the new and old campus on all working days between 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Female candidates can obtain the form from the cashier’s office at the Kailash hostel also. Cost of the form shall be Rs. 500.00 for General and OBC and Rs. 250.00 for SC/ST candidates. (The application fees for LL.B. three year course is Rs. 350.00 for General and OBC candidates and Rs. 175.00 for SC/ST candidates). Submission of form will start from June 15, 2009 in the concerned departments as mentioned in the brochure. Forms for the Self Financed courses will have to be submitted at the respective Dean’s office. The last date of submission of application forms is July 16, 2009 and with late fees of Rs. 1000.00 (excluding Form cost) for all candidates is July 20, 2009.
Forms for admission to the courses of Faculty of Fine Arts will be available only from College of Arts and Craft. Online submission facility will not be available for these courses. Admissions will be done on the basis of admission test carried out by the Dean, Faculty of Fine Arts.
The online submission facility will be available from 9:00 am June 1, 2009 till 5:00 pm on July 8, 2009. The fees for online submission of the post graduate forms can be submitted up to July 9, 2009. Candidates have to send a copy of the filled in form by speed post only which has to be postmarked not later than July 9, 2009. The merit list and counseling schedule will be available on the University website and notice board.
Candidates applying for weightage under the sports quota or claiming for reservation under the physically handicapped category shall have to appear for physical verification on the specified date before the merit list is declared. This process is compulsory and candidates who fail to turn up on the scheduled date will not get the benefit of the weightage/reservation claimed.
