The university grants commission(UGC) has appointed am expert committee to look into various issues,including the functioning of minority colleges,said its member Rev. Xavier Alphonse. He said the federation of chennai minority college teachers and managements had been insisting that the Madras university regulate the appointment of teacher in the minority colleges,but no was taken. Rev.peter,secretary, Loyola college and federation chairman,said that the services of 298 teachers and six principals appointed by various minority run institutions few years ago were yet yo be regulated. He said am undertaking to abide by the court verdict by all the management appointed teachers had been submitted to the university through the directorate of collegiate on may 19.Rev.peter said that the vice chancellor assured that if the directions was given by the UGC,he would immediately grant the qualification approval ve of the teachers.
