A resume is a short summary of your personal and professional milestones. The content for your resume comes from your portfolio collection, and is designed for the specific program to which you will send it. Your resume should clearly and concisely define your skills and interests. A few points that you may want to include in your resume:

• Contact information: name, address, email, phone
• Professional Career Objectives
• Educational background and degrees conferred
• Pertinent internships and employment history
• Honors and achievements
• (Sometimes) Skills relevant to the program you are applying for
• Information demonstrating your personality and non-academic achievements and hobbies

Hi,

Resume drafting is very important while it comes to application of jobs. The resumes are most important thing which an interviewer decides whether to call the person for an interview or not. So it is very essential that the resumes are upto mark enabling the interviewer have a good impression of it.

There are several companies which looks for attractive resumes. I had a friend who is very dedicated and honest to his work. But the primary thing for reject of his application for jobs is his improper biodate. The resume was not up to the expectation level of that Company. Hence a mere information in the resume may not fetch in good results. The attractiveness of the resume matters a lot to every success in the employment.

Best regard,
Mala.

The first contact between you and your job is the resume itself. This is your chance to capture your employers attention or interest. It does not matter which job you are applying for, the foremost importance is how well you have updated your resume.

Also just updating the details in your resume is not enough to get the job, there are several factors that are upmost importance for a good resume.

1. Make your words more powerful.

2. Be Specific in your approach.

3. Check whether there is enough white space

4. Use bullet points.

5. Use numbered points.

6. Be easily contactable.

7. Put a summary section at the top of your resume.
