University of Calcutta - Admission - M.Phil (Clinical Psychology) - 2009-2011
Applications are invited for admission in M. Phil in Clinical Psychology in the Department of Psychology for the session 2009-2011.
About University of Calcutta:
The Court of Directors of the East India Company sent a despatch in July, 1854 to the Governor-General of India in Council, suggesting the establishment of the Universities of Calcutta, Madras and Bombay.
In pursuance of that despatch, the University of Calcutta was founded on JANUARY 24, 1857.
The University adopted in the first instance, the pattern of the University of London and gradually introduced modifications in its constitution
Essential Qualification :
55% marks in aggregate in M.A. / M. Sc. in Psychology/ Applied Psychology from any recognized University / Institute (for SC/ST/OBC category minimum of 50% marks in aggregate is required). Candidates with M.A. / M. Sc. Degree by correspondence course/part time course/ by distance education are not eligible. Candidates who have appeared in M. A. / M. Sc. final examination might apply, provided their results should reach the interview board on or before the date of interview.
Course fees :
Admission fee :Rs. 2000/-(for each year)
Tuition fee :Rs. 2000/- (per month)
Examination fee :Rs. 1000/- (for each yearly examination)
Application fee:Rs. 500/-
Rs. 500/- to be sent in form of demand draft in favour of M. Phil in Clinical Psychology, C. U., payable at any bank in Kolkata.

Nature of Questions:
60 Multiple choice objective type questions (45 minutes) and 1 essay type question (45 minutes) for written test.
Qualified candidates will have to appear for an interview.
List of qualified candidates for interview : 15th September 2009 at 11:00 a.m.
Date of Interview : 15th September 2009 at 12:00 noon.
List of Final Candidates will be announced on 17th September 2009 at 12 noon. .
