ISRO invited applications from eligible candidates for the following positions.

1- Scientist / Engineer 'SC' (Physics / Applied Physics)

  • Pay Band / Grade Pay : Rs. 15600-39100/Rs. 5400/-
  • No. of Vacancies : 13 ( Ahmedabad - 5, Bangalore - 6, Hassan - 2)
  • Age Limit (as on 07-09-2009): 35 years (40 years in the case of SC/ST and 38 years in the case of OBC candidates)
  • Essential requirements: First Class M.Sc. Degree in Physics / Applied Physics / Atmospheric Science / Space Science / Astrophysics with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks (average of all the semesters / years). Good knowledge and experience in Programming Languages. Interest in analytical problem solving.
  • Desirable requirements: Knowledge / working experience in Navigation (GPS/GNSS). Knowledge in Orbital Mechanics and Space Dynamics.


  • 2- Scientist/Engineer 'SC' (Mathematics / Applied Mathematics)

  • Pay Band / Grade Pay : Rs. 15600-39100/Rs. 5400/-
  • No. of Vacancies : 11 ( Ahmedabad - 2, Bangalore - 6, Secunderabad - 1, Thiruvananthapuram - 2)
  • Age Limit (as on 07-09-2009): 35 years (40 years in the case of SC/ST and 38 years in the case of OBC candidates)
  • Essential requirements: First Class M.Sc. Degree in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics/ Computational Mathematics/ Statistics with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks (average of all the semesters/years). Good knowledge and experience in Programming Languages. Good knowledge in Differential Equations, Numerical Analysis, Statistics and Mechanics, with interest in analytical problem solving.
  • Desirable requirements: Knowledge/working experience in Navigation (GPS/GNSS). Knowledge in Orbital Mechanics and Space Dynamics.


  • 3- Junior Research Fellow

  • Fellowship amount: Rs. 12,000/- per month
  • No. of Vacancies : 1
  • Age Limit (as on 07-09-2009): 30 years (35 years in the case of SC/ST and 33 years in the case of OBC candidates)
  • Qualification: M.Sc. (Electro-Chemistry) in First Class with 65% marks or above (aggregate of all semesters/years)


  • How to Apply :

    Candidates may visit ISAC web-site: www.isac.gov.in to register their applications on-line between 17.08.2009 and 07.09.2009. Applications will be received on-line only. Upon registration, applicants will be provided with an on-line Registration Number, which should be carefully preserved for future reference. The on-line application has to be invariably followed-up with a "No Objection Certificate" from the employer concerned, by those already in employment under the Central Government, State Government, Public Sector Undertaking, Autonomous Body or any Organization which is aided by Government. The 'No Objection Certificate' duly indicating the name and Registration Number on the reverse should be sent to the below address on or before 15.09.2009.
