National Skills Registry
NSR is an initiative of NASSCOM (National Association of Software and Services Companies) to collect and store all the necessary details of all the professionals of IT and ITES industry. It actually create a complete datasheet of each and every professional including all background information like educational and professional.
Employees themselves enter all the details about them and a background check is maintained. Employees have to include all the personal, educational and employment details while registering. The best part is its biometric test so that each individual can be uniquely identified by the finger prints. The database also store the photograph of the candidate.
NSR is actually beneficial for both employees and employers. Employers can check the details about any professional before joining the company by accessing the unique ITPIN of the candidate. So, even if you are having a software company you may participate with NSR.
Professionals can update their profile anytime by logging into their account so that their profile remains up-to-date.
After registering with NSR you get an identity card from NSDL with your ITPIN so that you can access your profile anytime.
Most of the leading software giants like Infosys, Wipro, ITC infotech etc are already participating with NSR. So, it actually becomes beneficials for IT professionals to register with NSR so that their profile is visible to the top employers.
