What is a Knol? According to Google, a knol is an authoritative article about a specific topic. This is the new feature as Google's answer to an online encyclopedia. Anyone can contribute to Knol by following proper Google guidelines. And just like articles on ISC, your Knol articles can earn income. Here's how to make the most of Google Knol.
1) Move to Google Knol at knol.google.com and Register as a new user.
2) Take a look at the Knol introduction page. Here you'll find everything you'll need for getting started with Knol. You can use it as a reference site and you can contribute a knol on any topic of your choosing. Articles at Knol are html based, and can include formatting, images, tables, and other options.
3) Decide your level of control Unlike Wikipedia, any knol you write stays under your editorial control, unless you opt to open the editing to the broader public. Others can comment on your article, but only you get to decide who can edit the text.
4) Monetize, if you want to. Knol allows authors to place context-relevant Adsense ads on their articles. Currently, all income generated from the ads is returned to the author . This seems an excellent way of earning additional cash on the internet.
5) After posting relevant article on knol. Link that knol to a resource in ISC and post the link in the links section. So that you can earn money through ISC too.
