Research Methodology
Research is commonly known as a search for knowledge. One can also define research as a scientific and systematic search for pertinent information on a specific topic. For studying the Loans in HDFC Bank, a great amount of data has been collected from the internal sources of the HDFC Bank including the staff members and the management. To prepare my project report, I personally went to the Bank and collected the data and presented the valuable information to the readers of this report, the various published sources from the Bank and various reports, procedures have been followed. The present study is being conducted followed by Descriptive Research Design.
Sources of Data
Data may be obtained either from primary or from secondary sources. Primary source is one that itself collect the data and a secondary source is one that makes available data, which was collected by some other agency.
Secondary Sources:-
Secondary sources are those which are already into existence for some other purpose. In other words, we can say the source other than primary source is known as secondary source. The secondary sources which are used by us are:-
1. Websites
2. Magazines & journals
3. News papers
I have also gone through the literature of financial analysis from different financial books.
Type of Research:-
Analysis of Data:
The information gathered are the features and benefits, eligibility and documentation and fee and charges regarding the loan. Analysis is done in terms of theoretical concepts. Analysis of loan is done by making comparison between HDFC Bank with other banks.
Limitations of the Study:
1) There is no sufficient time.
2) Adequate data is not available.
3 ) The processing time of granting loan takes too much time.
