Hello Friends, Have you seen the movie [What's your Rashee] ? If yes, I doubt if you liked the movie. I have also seen the movie. Trully speaking, I don't like this kind of movies where direction is too poor. Yes, this is the case with What's your Rashee. Here I am going to discuss some factors related to this movie. Piracy attack on the Movie : - The bad luck for the movie start before the release of the movie. It was very serious case and complete film industry is shocked. The original print of this movie was sold for rupees 2 lakh and within hours there were thousands of duplicate prints of the movie was available in the market. Crores of rupees of producer sink into water. It was first sad news about the movie. Poor Direction : - The direction of the movie is very poor. Director Ashutosh G. completely failed to utilize available resources. Even he was not able to create interest of audience in the mystery i.e. On who will Yogesh marry. This mystery doesn't hold thrill which every audience expect. No time to show real story : - As the director is showing Priyanka in 12 different roles and in every role he has to show some romance. This leads too much songs in the movie and thus the time to show real story is too short. This affect the movie's performance. This was about the failure of the movie. Now some factors which are in favour of the movie. Yes, there are some factors which are in favour of movie. Excellent Performance of Actors : - This is the main factor behind the movie's presence in cinema halls. Actress Priyanka is excellent to his job and Harman support her very well. Playing 12 roles on a single platform is not easy job and to show romance with all these roles by single actor is too not so easy.
Harman done it but there is some problem with Harman in dialogue delivery. Songs of the movie : - Off course, the songs of the movie are very good, but there are some songs which are unnecessary. Overall I will give 2.5 out of 5 to the movie. 1 for Priyanka and Harman, 1 for songs and 1/2 for the on screen chemistry of peoples acted in the movie. Direction and story flow is complete failure. For individual section my rating are below : - Priyanka : - 5 out of 5. Harman : - 3.5 out of 5. Songs : - 4 out of 5. Direction : - 0.5 out of 5.

It was very surprising to see an average actor like harman being chosen by Ashutosh Gowarikar for this film. Secondly the length of the film is a major deterrent in today's age of small is beautiful. Although Priyanka did pt up a spirited show, it was nowhere the Sanjeev Kumar masterpeiece - Naya Din Nayi Raat which released in 1974

Go watch it without any high expectations and you will be taken by surprise! What’s your Rashee? is a romantic film with a backdrop of astrology. For his maiden romantic-comedy, award-winning filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker adapts ‘Kimball Ravenswood’, a novel written by US based Gujarati writer Madhu Rye. Harman Baweja plays Yogesh Patel, an NRI who has to get married in a few days time to help his family overcome a crisis. His marriage date is fixed, all preparations are done and invitation cards are distributed; and the only thing he has to do is select a suitable girl. He decides to meet 12 girls, one girl of each zodiac sign, (played by Priyanka Chopra) but fails to find a suitable match. But, marriage does happen!
Direction This is the first time director Ashutosh Gowariker, the name behind awesome films like Lagaan, Swades and Jodha Akhbar, has ventured into romantic genre. As expected, in this over three hours tale, things take their own sweet time to establish. An uninteresting sub-plot and a not-so-appealing twist in the climax mars the excellence of the subject.
Performances WYR is a Priyanka Chopra film all the way! Priyanka scores big time in enacting the roles of 12 different, young Gujarati girls all aged between 19-24. The way she has experimented with her body language, accent and appearance is appreciable. However, we wish her get-ups were more intricate and real rather than loud and artificial. Harman puts forth a decent and honest performance. The peripheral actors don’t have much to showcase.
Music Debutante musicdirector Soham Shah (a Dilip Sen-Sameer Sen descent), who has also sung a few songs including the melodious ‘Jaao Na’, has done a great job. However, we wish there were fewer songs. A song after every 15 minutes into the film reminds us of films like Hum Aapke Hain Kaun or a Hum Sath Sath Hain.
