DPP IV Inhibitors




The popularly known as “Dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors”. The Diabetes treatment is very difficult in patient, who suffered Type II Diabetes. Generally in this case Oral Hypoglycaemic agents are used. The Oral Hypoglycaemic agents are different types used in different condition like,
• Metformin
• Glimipride
• Gliclazide
• Rosiglitazone
• Pioglitazone
In the management of Type II Diabetes, Depends on the Insulin sensitivity. Hence now a days searching new possibilities for treatment.
The DPP IV Inhibitors are simply increase the insulin sensitivity by inhibiting enzyme DPP IV results in degradation of incretin like GLP 1, therefore results in inhibition of glucagons release & stimulates insulin release. That produced Lowering of blood sugar level. This may reduced the medicine overload for diabetic patients & increasing insulin sensitivity is very good sign for diabetic patients.
As per new research work on DPP shows importance in treatment of cancer.
