Kerala State Merit Scholarships 2009 -10 Notification
Applications are invited from the students pursuing higher Education in Government / Recognized private College / Institute / University Departments affiliated to any Universities in Kerala for Kerala State Merit Scholarships 2009 - 10.
Last date for receipt of application : 31/10/2009
Details of Scholarships
- For First year Degree Course (Post Inter Stage) - 300 Scholarships with Rs.1250/- per year
- For First year P.G Course (P.G Stage) - 150 Scholarships with Rs.1500/- per year
Eligibility :
- Only those candidates who obtain at least 50% marks in the aggregate in Higher Secondary / Graduation / Post Graduation Examinations conducted in March / April 2009 are eligible.
- For the award of scholarships to candidates undergoing post graduate courses of study (M.A./M.Sc./M.Com.) the marks obtain in the part of the Degree examination (B.A./ B.Sc./ B.Com.) containing the subjects of study chosen fee the course along will be taken in to consideration and 50% or more of the total marks fixed for the part shall decide eligibility.
- Students who passed their qualifying examinations during previous years are also eligible to apply for the scholarship. But they will be ranked along with the students who passed their qualifying examinations, during the year of award on the basis of percentage of marks secured.
Annual Income Limit
The annual family income,from all sources of the students parents or guardian should not exceed Rs.100000/-(1Lakh). But the candidates with first six ranks in the merit list of Arts Group, or the first six ranks in the merit lists of science Group or the first three ranks in the merit list of commerce Group and first rank in the merit lists of each subject in the I year Post-graduate courses will be awarded the scholarship without reference to the income.
How to Apply
Format of application form is attached with this notification or available in the website www.collegiateedu.kerala.gov.in. Dually filled application with attested copies of mark lists and income certificate should apply through the head of the College /Institute being attended by the student latest by
31/10/2009 to the following address.
