Telugu movie "Bendu Appa Rao.. RMP" review
|
This is another hit of father-son duo of EVV Satyanarayana and 'Allari' Naresh. It is an entertainer movie in every way and has a bit of everything thrown in -- comedy, emotions, romance and touch of humanity. The locations where the songs are shot are too good .
One song is based on old song, which was a hit, but with different, comedy lyrics. Its an awesome song in which Naresh acts like a snake and dances according to lyrics.
In this movie ,Bendu Appa Rao RMP (as is evident from the name) (Allari Naresh) is a doctor who wants to earn as much as possible so as to a pay handsome dowry to his saddist brother-in-law ,who harasses his sister. Kamna Jethmalani plays lover of Bendu Appa Rao and her role contributed to the romance and comedy of the film.
The main story of the film is based on one situation, it is the scene where appa rao returning home from a movie with his friends, and he sees an injured man on the road. When he goes to help him, he is requested to hand over a bag containing Rs 15 lakh to his family. The man dies and the story is all about what Appa Rao does with the money.
The film was set in a rural area, which shows the pleasant greenery part of the country side. The life of the zamindar,(it means the rich person) the obsession of one person (LB Sriram) with his cock, the friends of Appa Rao wasting their time playing cards and borrowing money, their desire to go to Dubai and being duped in the process is fairly realistic. The comedy does tickle your funny bone though it is a bit loud in some parts.
Koti's music is quite fine to ears.
'Allari' Naresh is the soul of the film. He has this uncanny comic timing, which is necessary for such kind of movies. He just glides through the role effortlessly.
Overall the movie is an entertainer and can surely make your time worth while.!!
