Less Caloried Gobi Manchurian!!!

I mostly go for manchurian food whenever I go to restaurants .Gobi manchurian is my all time favorite. I could just live on that.I make it once in a while at home. But i happened to become conscious of its high calory content and was forced to avoid . Since i couldnt resist it i tried to find another way to hvae it with less calories and it turned out good.Instead of deep frying Cauliflower florets I baked them and no one was able to find out that. They quite as spicy as when deep fried. Try this out and u will surely find it beneficial!!!here is the method:


INGREDIENTS:

Cauliflower - 1 medium sized flower
Cornflour - 1/4 cup
Ginger-garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
Chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
Salt to taste

For sauce::
Corn flour - 2 tablespoons
Onion - 1 small size chopped
Bell Pepper / capsicum - 1
Ginger-garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
Tomato sauce - 2 tablespoon
Soya sauce - 1 teaspoon
Oil - 2 teaspoons
Chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
Salt to taste.

For garnishing we can use spring onions!


METHOD:


1) Cut the cauliflower into small florets and soak them in hot salt water for about 5 minutes. Drain the water and pat the florets dry.

2) Make a thick batter with the corn flour, chilli powder, ginger-garlic paste, salt and a little water.

3) Coat the florets with the batter and transfer to a baking sheet.

4) Bake in a preheated oven at 400 degree F for about 20 minutes until it gets evenly browned. Toss the florets once in the middle while baking.

Meanwhile make the sauce.
5) Heat oil in a saucepan and add the chopped onion and ginger-garlic paste and fry till translucent.

6) Add the bell peppers and cook until they become soft. Add the salt, chilli powder, turmeric powder, soy sauce and tomato sauce.

7) Add the corn flour dissolved in a little water. Bring to a boil and simmer until the desired consistency is obtained.

8) Finally, add the baked cauliflower florets and coat them evenly with the sauce. Garnish with chopped spring onions.


Low calory content Gobi Manchurian is ready..
Can serve hot with rice and roti's as well.
